I need to know everything there is to know about Golf

Hi hope someone can help. My best mate is really into golf and he's playing a tournament this weekend but he refuses to tell me about its because I don't know anything about golf, so I wanna surprise him. I just need a quick run through of Golf. What all the different clubs do, the basic rules and some good questions I could ask him about his tournament.

Try "how did your game go" ?

Ask him what he scored and then say "gross or nett" You could then really impress him and ask "how may greens in regulation"!!

Just ask how he played. Why try and show off and ask something you have no idea about and will have little idea about the answer?
