Even though I am built like a darts player and I do like to throw a dart or three...
Darts is one the 'sports' I don't care to watch...
Have to admit though the atmosphere for those attending 'live' must be something else...

To answer the OP's question - its always like this over the Christmas/New Year period when most teams face three or four games in a 10-12 day period. All Sky do is cash in and show the games although to be fair they've mixed it up with some Championship and League one games too. Always been a Sky footie fest since they started showing games.

Herself did comment this year was most probably no different than any previous... Just that I've noticed it more this year as I've been stuck at home more... As I am having to keep a closer eye on the pennies having been made redundant a few months ago...
