Nope, a seller is unable to leave negative (or neutral) feedback for buyers.

I've had this before, eBay (and PayPal) always side with the buyer, you'll not win against their system and you'll lose the plot if you try. Accept it and move on unfortunately.
Well, that's ridiculous. I suppose when you monopolise the online selling market you can do whatever you like. I'm the stubborn type who would never give it up though. You can't just allow someone to do you over. Even if Ebay's rules facilitate it.

I've got one on the go at the moment.
I sold a hybrid, posted to a click and collect shop and the buyer is saying the shop haven't received it.
But eBay tracking says it's been delivered.
Looking at the T&C's, if there is tracking that says delivery has happened then I'm ok. They won't pay out on insurance as they show the parcel delivered.
Messy....

I have used click and collect once (listed by accident) and having read the terms and conditions I do not intend to use it again. Have you read the bit about uncollected items?

I'm sure it could be argued that they don't update their tracking until the top of the hour or some such nonsense! Don't give up, keep at it.

I presume you can give this buyer a load of negative feedback via Ebay as well? Or perhaps he creates a new account each time he tries to scam someone.
That’s the weird thing about it he has 311 positive 100% feedback.
I am hoping this has been some sort of error but not looking likely.
As Parcelforce is saying it’s not been collected at all up to today.

But he has said he has already sent it back to me,????

I tried to buy gig tickets last week on a Facebook page for the event in question. Got a private message from a girl with a clearly fake account saying they could be picked up in York or sent via email as they’re e-tickets. It just so happened I was in York when she sent it so I offered to pop over. Oddly she went silent until the next day when she sent me her bank details because she didn’t have Paypal. When I said PayPal only she then decided she DID have Paypal but forgot the password and didn’t have the email address it was set up with anymore. Needless to say I reported her to Facebook as a fake account. Within the day her name and pictures had all changed. Sigh

The lengths people will go to just to scam someone out of £40!

Paypal really seem to be on the side of the buyer. The other week I bought a back rest for the car. When it arrived I didn't even unpack it because it was obviously too small, misdescribed as large. I asked the seller for a return &, despite being clearly a trader, he refused. I reported it to Paypal & had a refund within 48 hours. No word of protest from the seller so I assume Paypal hadn't claimed the money back from him. I waited a few days & sent the item back, didn't know what else to do with it.

Years ago I bought three Cleveland Wedges from eBay, it was pretty obvious they were fake, used them until I couldn't lie to myself anymore, contacted the seller who refunded me ASAP without question. I think it was that big fake club scam which was on the news.

I think FB sale pages are better now, I have flogged my Ridley road bike and loads of kit recently, the only problem is when people try and haggle with you over pennies.

Sent eBay the proof that he hadn’t collected the shaft before messaging me saying it dosnt fit.

Guess what got an apology today saying it’s all been a mix up , but I have recived the other shaft he said was the one I sent him, with the wrong adapter on.

How convenient is that.
Proved he’s lying but it’s a mix up

Would you be bothered , it’s in ebays hands now.

eBay need to sort this sort of scam ,but know they won’t.

I got a 3 wood returned claiming it wasn't as described. The jobby returned it too me with ball marks and mud on the face. He used it, obviously didn't like it and ebay sided with him. I filed a "misuse of the returns system" claim and never heard anything again.

Its a rotten way to sell now as ebay offer the buyer a greater level of protection than a consumer would have buying new in a shop. It really is ridiculous.

I had a disputed with a different company recently and they were very bad with coming back to me with just a tiny answer. Did a gdpr subject access request, and with 2 weeks I had the little one liner I needed, and they had a lot of extra work for stuff of no interest to me. Could have been 2 minutes for them, looks like it took them hours.

eBay have reimbursed the buyer and no mark against me as a seller.
Everyone wins except ebay(y)

Well eBay have resolved the case in my favour.
But I think it’s only because I found proof the guy was lying, he made a schoolboy error.
But by the sound of the email you would think eBay were doing me a massive favour not just doing their job.

Will make me think in future, but the guy had 300+ positive feedback 100% so it’s not easy.

I guess he would have if sellers can't leave negative feedback.
