I feel his pain....

Only time I had s mare like that was in the Road Hole @ TOC!

Took 4 to get out - 1 Penalty, 2 near misses, then out backwards - then went back in again! Ended up with an 'excellent 11' after the inevitable 3-putt! The only thing to do was laugh!

I took 5 to get out a bunker at the 10th at Craigielaw in a medal. First one just needed an inch more height and then it kept running back into the deep hole I was digging!

Still got a handicap cut.... the joys of stableford adjustments!

great line by the commentator.... "...this is turning into a one man tennis match.."

thing is he didnt hit bad shots, so much for these vokeys and new Titleist Prov's

A few years ago in a medal on our par 4 SI 1, I was in a greenside bunker for 3, took 3 to get out and then went into the bunker on the opposite side. Two shots later I was back in the original bunker, thinned it out of bounds and then cut my losses by playing out sideways onto the fairway. A chip on and two putt saw me card my worst ever score of fourteen. Not sure how my playing partners managed to finish the hole with the tears they were shedding.

There are a couple of short holes at our place where this is a distinct possibility, especially if you have to play from the down slope when the greens are hard. Have played from one bunker across the green to another on these holes numerous times but never been across twice, although I have seen others do it occasionally.

Poor chap- you could see him looking round for the hidden comedy cameras after the third bunker visit.

Nice putt.
I once sunk a 20 footer to card a 12. Well, nobody wants a 13 on their card!

They all looked good shots to me.

Looked like he thinned the first shot. Once he was at the back of the bunker on a downslope for the second he had absolutely no chance of stopping it on the green. Sometimes you got to play away from the hole!

Great hole though, love short par 4s.

Who was it at H4H at Blackmoor who couldn't get out of the bunker and buried his ball there as a form of punishment? Was it golfballwhackerguy? That was brilliant

As for this to do that and get a double bogey is crazy. fair play to him
