A little bit of wind yesterday, hitting 180 yard drives into and 280 downwind.
I stopped caring after a few holes and ended up putting with my golf mittens on just to help keep warm. Surprisingly effective from distance, not so great closer in

About 60 of us turned up to help clear up on the front 9 this morning. Must have been at least 30 trees down on the front half coupled with a ton of branches small and large. It was a real mess out there. Think we managed to bundle up most of it ready for the tractors to pick up later. Hopefully get 9 holes open to play on Wednesday, then do the same on the back half next week.

There is a Peter Smith in the directory but I don’t know him
He is/was a world calibre curler, curled for Scotland in at least two world championships. I played golf with him at one of them. Very nice guy, and a good player.
