I cannot resist.

Don't understand the original post? Is it a gloat that a team hampered by sanctions and playing boys were beaten or is it a go at McCoist?

What's the one city one team thing? I believe Partick Thistle are in the SPL therefore by my calculation there are two Glasgow teams in the top flight

Could well degenerate earlier than that!

Interesting how you never seam to see these sort of threads concerning the Manchester/Liverpool/London clubs etc:
Surprising really, because if the pundits are to believed, it is the English footy fan who is the snarling, bigoted thug who can't be trusted to behave like civilised human beings, where as our tartan brethren are the sort of individual you could safely leave looking after your dear old granniy.
These pundits have obviously never read this forum.

Whoops!! Should of read the Scots Weyhey post first..:p

I think you've answered your own question. It's more a case that the English press are that insular they believe nothing happens outside of English football.

 :o :o
WTF!!! I've just googled me spelling mistake and can assure you it WAS a genuine mistake.
Just goes to show how important correct spelling is. :o
Warning ! If at work, or of a weak disposition do not google my original spelling.:p

Mitigating circumstances m'lud - they weren't able to play their most recent signings. And after all, mega-diddy Forfar are a big and successfull club - in Forfar.

Anyway - who really cares about that shower - not me for one, not that is until they get back in the Scottish Premiership and start polluting our TV and radio with their 'patriotic' (huh!) fervour.

btw - before anyone says the Scottish Premiership is uncompetitive. The winning of the SPL and Scottish Division 1 before it were only ever really competitions between Celtic and Rangers - other that the short period Fergie stuck his boot and Aberdeen oil money in. The rest of us competed and continue to compete fiercely and closely for 3rd place and Cup success. What's better these days is that we can also compete for 2nd place. So highly competitive.

COYS - let's put FC Minsk away on Thursday before a full house.

Note that it is likely that a large majority of the Tartan Army comprises supporters of Scottish clubs other than the Rangers and Celtic. The Tartan Army is proud to offer unconditional and undivided support to the Scottish National team - putting team allegiances aside. Too many supporters of Celtic have one eye on the Republic, too many of The Rangers fans openly state they couldn't give a monkeys about Scotland, and prefer to swear their allegiance to the UK and The Queen.

So as Scotland is very important to the Tartan Army, it will self-police as best it can to avoid fans causing shame and embarrassment to the country.

Couldn't agree with you more SLH, and long may it continue.
I wasn't really having a dig at the Tartan Army,(after all my dear old ma is a Scot), but a dig at how it only takes a few bad apples to give people the completly wrong idea. I couldn't find a tongue in cheek smiley so  had to do..:D
Being a left footer, with an Irish father, and Scotish mother, its safe to assume that i didn't shed many tears at Rangers demise, but do people really need to keep putting the boot in??
Surely the biggest insult you could bestow upon the old enemy would be to just ignore them, treat them like the irrelivence they currently are??
Just my thoughts SLH, as an outsider looking in. I'd usually wish Celtic all the best for the forth coming season at this point, but that would just be silly..;)

I cannot understand any Scot who doesn't support the National team.

Hope the Saints can do it this week SLH. I take it you were all saving your coin for the European game as yesterdays crowds was extremely poor was it not? Either that or harvest has started I suppose.;)

And for those in doubt my post was just a general poke of fun at the club that just keeps giving.

Expect more.

It's fantastic fun booting them while they are down.:whoo:

Sanctions? What sanctions were they?

Oh aye the transfer embargo where the SFA gave them a month to sign whoever they wanted and as many as they wanted before it kicked in!

Unlike how Dunfermline's kicked in straight away for the same offence, yep one rule for one and another, what a surprise that Rangers were on the good end of it.

Aye - all the fermers saw the rain coming so had to get the hay in. Note that whilst it's great that we'ere in with a chance of getting to the Europa play offs - 3 home games in the space of two weeks is an unheard of call on the Perth Purse. So Saturday we let the Jambos make up the numbers and - and 6000+ isn't too shoddy - double our normal home gate of last couple of seasons :)
