Maybe if we can get into Europe this season and next - before servco return - then we should be in a better position to cope with the nerves we experienced last night.

A combination of realising we're not good enough and concern that any fluke extended run in Europe will badly affect the fitness/injuries in the small squads we have.From a pragmatic point of view understandable, from a supporters point of view, inexcusable.

On another note it is interesting to see many of the press saying 'Unlucky Saints'. To me this is part of our problem as a Nation, the gallant losers tag.

Utter pish.

The real story is Saints had a fantastic opportunity to progress and blew it,bottled it when it mattered and it is something we see in our nation's sport all to often.
