Why not. Seems sensible. Trouble will be finding a 48 degree specialist wedge.

couldn't you do it with one club, 6* gap = 49 (Quite a few options TM, Hogan, Cleveland or even Di7)

otherwise 12 deg gap = 4* between, therefore 47 and 51 (Mizuno?) and is 4* really going to make that much difference?

why not go GW and LW? 49, 55, 60

Ya think ill go with the one club the 49deg GW from the Di7 set.....i think ill steer clear of the lob wedge for while i havent really the skill or the use for one at the moment.

I think staying away from the 60/Lob wedge is a good idea.
However, I would be slightly worried about playing with a PW that's a 9 iron (in any other set)...depends on the gap you have....

The way I see it; most regular mid-h'cap players tend to score well on the shorter holes. There are (let me work it out....)......7 or 8 holes at mine where wedge choice really makes a difference. I rarely hit a full SW but use SW, PW and GW for about nine "dialled in" distances.

If you have a low loft PW and only one other club between that and SW, you might need to think a bit more out on the course.

I have 42/47/52/56 lofts to use. If I had 42/49/56, I think I'd struggle. All depends on your ability and confidence to take off yards off any given club.

Are you really sure your PW is 43? Dont' you mean 47?

Standard bag for any handicap golfer

Driver
3 wood at 15 no lower
2/3 iron hybrid at 19
4 iron hybrid at 23
5-PW, with the 5 at 27 and PW at 47
gap wedge at 53/54
lob wedge at 58+

thats 13 clubs, leaves room to swop and chenge with conditions

NO, the point of the post is that the OP'er is playing with a set of Wilson Staffs with ultra-low loft.

We (as a forum) all seem confused by this state of affairs.

Its got a few people confused alright RG... :D
Iv got the Di7 43.5 PW so if i was to bridge the gap with maybe a 48 and a 52 would this suffice do you think....
