i.i.r.c. Loretto School (Musselburgh) has a full size one of these which I tried before my ill-fated effort to play against J_F. Very impressive artificial turf....I liked it.

This is a baby home version, could be good?

Looks nice, I saw in the ebay link that he has a 'cup reducing ring', anybody know where I can get one of these?

Overpriced on the Main Huxley website.

Even the E-bay version seems expensive at 80 quid even though its a lot cheaper than on the Huxley website. I've putted on some of these & they are certainly impressive artificial indoor putting surfaces, but would I pay that sort of money...? Er no, doubtful.

Must say Huxley do some very good products though.

Looking at the photo's in the evilbay advert the putting green has taken some hammer.

but quite frankly I think the same could be achieved with a rotary cloths dryer & some plastic chicken netting.

Yep, I knew someone who thought the same as you.

I won't tell you the story of the 4' x 4' section of roughcast/harling that needed replacement afterwards !

I went to carpet right and got a length of carpet 3 or 4 metres long and 1 metre wide - £12.
It was the cheapest type of carpet in the shop and pretty damn close to playing on grass. When I am not using it just roll it up and pop it behind the sofa.

I am intrigued. Did you take a putter and a ball to Carpetright to check out the likeness to grass before buying, as you wouldn't want the wrong one.

What was the stimp meter reading?

I've just got this mental picture of someone going into their local axminster shop & trying out all the different carpets with a stimp-meter & taking in putter & balls.

I think if I walked into Toons carpets & furniture with my putter under one arm & some balls I'd get thrown out.

Might be worth trying on April 1st just for the laugh :D

I did get some funny looks when I told them what it was for and even funnier when I asked them what was the minimum length I could have?
They basically cut a 1metre length from a 3 metre wide carpet.
