Saw Mahan being interviewed last night after his round at the WGC-he backpeddalled so fast he nearly fell over.

I too saw him retract his statement which he had clearly been advised to do.
As for Furyks response -I thought he handled it superbly, it was a really great example of how to handle the media as a top level sportsman/ woman and oozed professionalism. Something Butch Harmon and the sky boys picked up afterwards.
