HSBC open prizes

Let's see what everyone makes of this....
at The Open last week I was able to hit the longest drive of the day on one of the HSBC simulators, Guys there took my details and signs there say daily prizes! I'm thinking great!! Next day I get an email saying I've won 6 balls... not to seem ungrateful or anything but 6 balls for winning a daily event that thousands of people have had a go at seems a bit frugal bearing in mind the advertising Callaway have had from that. Is it just me???

Did you ask what the prize was before joining the queue?

I find it quite amusing that you're so indignant about it yet didn't ask what the prize was on any of your attempts. I'm also quite surprised anyone would spend 2 hours doing this while at the open! But each to their own.

I actually agree that the prize is a bit naff. But, would it have been that difficult to find out what the prize was if it was so important to you?

More importantly though, how long was your drive?

I'm struggling to see what the problem is ?

You enter a Comp for free - you didn't ask what the prize was before hand , you ended up winning some golf balls and you expect the prize to be better ?

The simple question is why when it's a free comp should the prize be anything more than some balls ?

And what advertising did Callaway get out of it ?

No it was not split it was won out right, never said anywhere what the prizes were just daily prizes so nothing about winning an epic driver just to promote the driver. Every person I have spoke to face to face about this has been gob smacked at the low prize for such a venue, maybe others must have low expectations.

What did you expect to win then? If balls are not a good prize, what is?
