How was/is it for you?

Aztecs, always thought you were a bit nuts. Not as much as hid, clearly though. Good luck, and congrats. All the best for the future.

You might want to hang on too that r11 though, you might not be allowed to buy many more golf clubs.

Congrats Aztecs!

We stayed at my sister-in-laws in Sheffield:
food 10/10
drink 8-10
presents 4/10 (I gave out some really decent presents but all I got back were things like socks and pants)
company 8-10 (no one there played golf so no chance of a boxing day round).
tele (didn't watch much)
arguements none
disasters (my sister-in-laws 10 month old baby woke the whole house up a few times in the night)

A massive anticlimax as ever. Basically, I spent a fortune on hosting a day that took up a huge amount of time and effort for people that I am not really all that keen on.

As soon as I can afford it, I will be in the Alps for Christmas week with my wife and children every year.

I am not a fan of Christmas. Not at all.

Couldn't agree more, the best Christmas I've ever had was in dominican republic for 2 weeks, all inc 5 star, abd worked out about the same cost, best thing about Christmas this year was golf yesturday and boxing day, just about to shower ready for day 3

So, for most the festivities are over.
How did yours go marks out of 10
How was the
food
drink
presents
company
tele
arguements
disasters

Or did you just not bother this year?

Scores from the Wormley jury:

Food: 8
Drinks: 8. Drunk by lunchtime :)
Tele: 9. Watched lots of boy tele
Company: 10. Spent with my two young sons:)
Presents: 6 for me. 9 for kids.
Arguments: 1
Disasters: 0

In all, great so far! Bit more golf and it would be perfect!!

Congrats to Jon!

My scores:

Food 5 (Worst Christmas meal we've had, nice beef but only meat choice apart from some vile chicken drumsticks cooked in wine, re-cooked veg yuk)

Drink 1 (I drove this year)

Presents 3 (I didn't want much, but got less. Clothing that my Dad would wear, golf lessons voucher but need to travel 20 miles min. to get there when I am planning on lessons at my local, a shared gift with my wife of Molton Brown bathing products!, a second hand TomTom)

Company 6 But only because my kids were great. Spent first year in 20 at in-laws house, let's just say they're not natural party hosts. But had a good game of golf on Boxing Day morning with 2 brothers-in-law and I won.

Tele 2 Where was the BIG film this year?

Arguments 8 Fell out with my wife because she could see my lack of liking for the gifts, 4 yr old nephew was told off big time because of breaking presents and generally causing mayhem.

Disasters 6 Youngest daughter was poorly from Saturday to Tuesday, keeping my wife and I awake through 2 nights.

So all in all I'm with Snelly that it was one big anticlimax, saved only by my kids enjoying themselves.
