Well after a good game yesterday with 35pts with 2 blobs thanks to sone dodgey putting on very wooly greens today was medal day. A nice new pre-shot routine ensuring hip turn on the down swing I stand on the first and let rip an absolute belter and while holding the finishing position in nice warm sun I think "yes today's going to ve good "

After hitting 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th in regulation a par, bogey, par, par, bogey par I'm only +2 after six. Standing on the 7th dropped the new pre shot routine and there we go , 8 on our si3 par 4 with. Ok not the worst still only 6 over after 7 but still pissed with the result a complete miss hit on the 8th needing a reload and I'm now standing on the 9th 9 over. Bogey down 9 and I'm 10 over meaning I need to shot +2 on the bag just to hit comp scratch.

Par on 10 so started well, but a nice block up the 11th followed by a [****] or bust approach to our si1 and a list ball see's a NR. Gutted!

Was on good medal form this year with 3rd, win, win in the first 3 medals, but a NR gets me 0.1 back and worst of all now 13,5 so back to 14.

:(

put it behind ya mate & leave it , from a 3rd & 2 wins it sounds like you playing well . stick it down to bad day at the office you wont be off 14 for long .. bogeyed 3 of the last 4 yesterday in my medal to shoot 79 nett 70 . hopefuly sss was 72 havent checked yet.. so i share your pain

Every cloud has a silver lining thought. Next week it the semi's of out winter singles and thanks to today I now get an extra shot. :D

Just taking from it the positives

A) driving is coming strong again
B) long game coming back with 3w off the deck and some nice fairway woods played.
C) par'd 4 out of 5 of our par 3s. And the one I didnt par I pared with my second ball

Just enjoying it again

Homer just enjoy it mate. Seriously how can you be down with the weather we are having. YOu could be working, injured, in Japan or be out on the course in the sun with your pals

It was amazing how a good mood and good careless attitude let me have such a good front 6 abd to be fair a pretty good back 9. If I'd only had a bad 7th or 8th I could have still made buffer easy with my back 9. I'm convinced I made the best decision on 11 telling my card marker to stop marking so I could just enjoy the rest of the round.

Not thinking about any faults you have been working through and just swing is the way forward
