Hi guys, what do all you guys do to keep the forged irons in good order?

I do wash and dry mine after every round tho they are starting to lose the shine they had when i got them.. any ideas on bring that back?

not a fan of headcovers i know they be the best idea for the clubs in the bag but could not be assed taken them off and on for every shot..

thanks

Wax on, wax off.

Forged clubs will get bag chatter over time and lose their shine. Only way to stop this is to use headcovers or put a towel in between them.

shouldnt be losing shine unless theres a film of something on them?
I have new MP53's and 25 year old Titleist Tour Pro blades, both look as shiny as each other

Dry and clean should keep them looking good. My MP32's are chrome and are prob 6 or 7 years old (sh) and are still have a fair anount of shine still. My 62 are black nickel so are dull finnish anyway.

Head covers. i'm told are not the best for forged clubs, unless you take them off and dry the clubs between rounds.

My irons are almost 8 years old,i've never done anything more than remove from the bag to dry, after a wet day on the course, and wash them once a fortnight in warm soapy water, rinse, and towel dry.You can see your face in them, and except for the clatter marks, and a couple of stone marks on the sole, they look like new.I honestly dont understand what concerns people about clatter marks, they don't affect the playability of the club, and can hardly be described as unsightly.

The only thing I look at on a regular basis is the grips, and change the grips every couple of years. Other than that they get taken out and used to smack a ball off the mat at the range, and more often than not out of the rough on the course. Forged clubs are a lot tougher than you think...
