How to hit...... a 3 Wood

If you want to hit a good 3-wood from the deck then you need to start learning to take the club away nice and low and then just let it sweep the ball from the fairway with a nice rhythmic swing. I think too many people lack the confidence to do it and start trying to scoop it up, which ends up in a thin or topped shot. The other shot I see when people are trying to scoop the ball up is you end up with the clubface opne which will just make you slice it. Confidence is the key, just set up to the ball and put a nice smooth swing on it, trust me it will go.

Afternoon all.

I wonder if I can get some advice. I know without seeing it can be difficult to comment but I wanted some advice before I purchase a new club.

I have tried to place the ball in the center of my stance and also a mixture of places between center and the inside left foot.

Basically where should the ball be placed?

I suggest you get a lesson and learn how to hit the 3 wood you have.
There's nothing wrong with it

yeah that is what I thought, but when I contacted 2 local pros I said I wanted to focus on 2 things. Fairway woods and getting extra distance and consistency from the tee. Both pros said "it's a general lesson covering everything, we don't concentrate on one area" but I have found a pro recommended by a friend who I have worked with recently who has helped me with my game in general. Waiting untill pay day to contact him.
