How Many

Hi,
How many different courses have you played I have at least 42 in Ireland and 15 in Spain, I was thinking about this because i read an artical about Ronan Rafferty who says he has played 150 of the 190 or so of the links courses in Ireland and the UK and he aims to play them all has anyone set a target to play X amount of courses or anything like that.

I do keep a list (sad I know) and it's up to around the 110 mark. I'd like to play every course in Lancashire and all the open venues one day but other than that I just take the opportunities to play new courses as and when they arise. One of the attractions of the game to me is the variety of courses on offer and the knowledge that I'll never run out of new ones to play !

I'd absolutely love to play more courses,love it, but at the same time,don't want to be in the divorce courts, so for that reason, I'm out

I too have a list. It currently stands at 100, but the Brabazon next week will make it 101.

What a good question, I've not kept a list, but have played at least 20 in Ireland, and probably 40 - 50 back here. If I play the course more than once does it count twice?

Sitting at 81 at the moment. Another year or so to get to the magic 100 I think.

Not that many over the years. Probably about 50 but a few good names in there (Wentworth, St Andrews St Mellion)

I am not sure, I did do a tally some years back and all the ones I remembered came to about 60, but a good few yrs have passed since then and I have not kept a tally, in fact sometimes these days I can go to a club and suddenly realise Ive played it before! lol But I remember the great ones or the ones that gave me a pleasurable memory, those that were a let down I tend to forget quickly.

I would love to have the time to sit down and figure out exactly how many courses I have played over the last 20 years or so.
It must be at least 150, maybe a lot more.

I did count up when J_F was doing his 100-up and I reckoned on about 41/42
Going away now to have a proper count-up.

Not sure exactly how many but it's well over the 100 mark. I've got a scorecard from everywhere I've played (blank ones mostly) from Muni's to Open venues, 3 photo albums full. I'll have to count them up. 20 years of playing golf in the Navy means they're from all over the world as well.

I think i have between 40 and 50. Adding 2 more next weekend. Hope to do the Open rota before I stop, but I should have at another 40 years of golf infront of me.
