I should get 12 pars & 6 bogies per round, but I normally get a 1 or 2 birdies and the odd additional bogey or double bogey - so I've said 10-11 on average.
I voted 4-5. We have some par fives that are reasonably easy to hit in regulation (doesn't mean it's guranteed), a couple of shortish par four and a very short par 3. The problem is I'll chuck some doubles (maybe higher) in there as well. No consistency
Not sure as I don't keep a record and try to keep away from statistics. However, I do remember playing in a comp a few years ago and I had 17 pars and a double bogey. The double was on the 5th.
According to my last 10 rounds on game golf I average 1 birdie, 6 pars, 7 bogeys, 3 doubles & 1 worse than double which sounds about right for a 15 handicap. Just need to change that 3+ into a par and target of 12 will be reached in no time!
Whilst I'm up there with the pars I also tend to run 4 doubles a round as well - which is what's keeping the handicap the extra 3-4 shots higher these days.
