I've recently been offered use of an Odyssey XG1 putter to see if I like it before commiting to buying one, guess this is similar but then again you cant really do any damage to a putter.

Well tell them who the nice guy offering is ffs.

Happy to let anyone hit any of mine, not bothered about marks. But I have never hit my m8's Titleist 907 driver, despite the offer, for fear of skying it.

Irons and putter no problem, but I admit I'd be worried about the woods if they teed it up a bit high!

I lent a fellow member my driver because the pro hadn't been able to regrip his club in time for the monthly medal. I didn't know the guy personally but I'd seen him on the course and the pro knew him. The club was returned undamaged and there was a pint paid on behind the bar for me. My driver is only a Benross £50 job but I really like it it is a stiff shafted 9 degree spec as was the other players. It was probably a come down from the chaps own G15 though.

I once put my card down as a deposit so a mate could test out a graphite 5 wood once, the bastard hit the deck on his third swing, head went further than the ball and the chap from the shop had to halt play on the packed driving range while we spread out to find the head!
