How long have you been playing this game for?

Having started the game at the tender age of 11 (now 37) i've dabbled over the years with on average 5/6 rounds per year.

It's only over the last 18mths that I have really taken to the game and played it regularly.

Seriously!

Was staying on the south coast with a friend who had taken up the game and invited me for 9 holes on a par three track.

The reason I remember the date? It was also my wedding anniversary

First round in Portugal in 2001. Bought my first set of clubs 5 years ago, then proper ones 3 years ago and got very keen on this game from then!

Almost the same as you I guess. First games probably when I was 11 or 12, played a few times a year for a few years, stopped until I was around 32, had a few games at a Par 3 near where I lived, bought my current iron-set perhaps 3 years ago, joined my first club 18 months ago, got my handicap 5 months ago having just turned 38.

My new target is to get my handicap to 50 minus my age!

Exactly the same - being playing once a week "properly!" know for about 8months after 5-6 times a year for 15 years.
