Hi

After a comp on the Sunday, it is often Tues or Weds before the info appears on Howdidido.

Is this the same for other clubs.....

or....

Am I seeing the result of my club not entering the data quickly ?

Competitions are an important part of club life, so I would like to think the club would prioritise them this way and have the data entered first thing on Monday morning.

I have seen the results up by Monday lunchtime but nothing on our comp yesterday either. That may be because it was a par comp and no a standard scoring method.

We use MasterScoreboard and since we key our comp results into the computer at the club, it's uploaded instantly. I'm pretty impressed by it so far.

With howdidido i think it depends how quickly the comp is closed off and uploaded from your club, yesterday our results were on howdidido before Id left the bar (we were the last group admittedly).

That is how HowdidIdo should work, we all key our results into a computer. I am assuming though that a club official needs to check the cards before the results are uploaded to the servers.

Ours are usually up same day now. Usually within a couple of hours of the comp closing.

It's one of the things members complained about last year in the club survey. Sometimes it could be 4-5 days before they got posted.

Data is usually uploaded to the howdidido site as the competition is closed by the committee. Depending on the settings in the software this can be a manual "publish" which sometimes gets forgotten when finishing the comp. We moved to HandicapMaster software (MasterSscoreboard) and IMO it's much better and more reliable.

As I said, it was my first real "hands on" experience of it this weekend. Simple to enter scores and they are published pretty much instantly once they've been checked. Very good.

Thanks all, good feedback.

So the bottle neck seems to be the club validating the cards.

I will be having a word.........

The results from the comp at my club has just appeared on the site. I suppose par comps take a little longer to double check. Anyway, first cut of the year down 0.6 so happy with that.
