How long does it take you roughly to get round your track

On my course which is not overly long but very tight, have done 3 1/2 in a four ball stroke round with no one in front of us, then mid field it has been 4 1/2 hours, hit wait all day long, stableford every Wednesday is 3 1/2 hours for us in the morning and over 4 hours in the afternoon.

Captain thinks this is fine, so how do change it ?

4.15 yesterday for fourball on a course that's a smidge over 7500 and 4hrs dead for 2 ball on a dinky little 7000 yrd course

(not the tees I chose to play)

Me on my own fastest time 1hour 10 minutes (but I do use a buggy)

2 balls used to take two and quarter to to two and half hours .

3 balls in medals were expected to go round in 3.20 maximum.

These days the on the 18 hole course the club expects a 4 ball to take three and half hours, all though very often this is not achievable because there is always one or two slow groups that will not let anybody pass.

On the 9 hole course the expected time for 9 holes is one hour 24 minutes (lot of beginners and slower seniors on the course). If you take longer and have booked 18 holes you miss your second 9 tee time.

Used to be able to get round I a medal in 3 hours no problem but that's appears to now be a thing of the past, it's seems the slow coaches are managing to get the earlier slots and that's had a knock on effect. Most comps last year were closer to 4 hours apart frombthe couple of times I managed to get out first, then it was back to 3.

We were a three ball stuck amongst a field of four balls and still round in a tad under four hours. Did feel longer as we were waiting around a bit and I wasn't playing great. Didn't want to rush through as we had nowhere to go and the group in front were a match anyway
