I keep my clubs for a long As the wife refuses to loosen the purse strings. She's always going on about buying important stuff, like food and electricity. Stuff like that. It's a nightmare I tell you.

I am not in the same postion. Trouble is I encouraged my wife to learn to play golf and now she can spot a new purchase a mile away.

I think its teetime72's sig that says a happy wife is a happy life, I gotta disagree, a quiet wife is a happy life. They're always going on about saving and rainy days and stuff. Pah i gotta get her into golf so she feels the bug.

My Titleist DCI irons are 12 years old and still going strong. Driver changed at start of this year due to new regulations. 3 wood is a classic "wooden" Ping from about 1983. I have 5 putters but have faithful to one for 5 years since going cack-handed.

Would you use a wooden tennis racket to play tennis with now? I would say you'll hit yor handicap target by just getting some new irons.... :D
