Just wondering how far people travel to their home course.

Mine is about 20 mins drive but if I'm trying to play after work the journey can easily double.

There are quite a few courses closer to me however they tend to close in the bad weather whereas mine was fully open today.

I'm thinking of leaving next season as the fee's have gone up and they're removing 2 of the holes but I don't know weather to join one of the closer courses or try somewhere further afield.

What would you do and how far do you travel currently?

just under 10 miles away, takes me 15 minutes, journey pretty much all country lanes

have travelled a little further in the past but prefer to be closer ideally

6 miles, 3 different routes dependent on time of day but all can take less than a comfortable 10 minutes. Can't see me ever moving.

1 hr 15 mins each way + 5 hr rounds for 14 years:ooo:. Just moved to one 5 mins from house, bliss!:whoo:

ditto

there's one with a similar structure that I used to belong to and that's 3 miles away - but a mud-bath in winter, only 18 holes and access is frequently an issue.....so I didn't go back.

My old course was 6 miles door to door, I moved in July close to my course which was then 3 miles max, but I have since moved clubs too.

It's around 2.5 miles from my door to the gates, and another 1.2 miles to the clubhouse, I'm sure I actually cross postal codes on our entrance drive!

11 miles and 20 mins from my home course, 50 miles and 1hr from my away course. Away course is 35 mins from my office though.

15 miles - 25 minute drive.

Too far really but there's no decent courses anywhere near where I live. Well, actually, there is but they wanted over £1,000 joining fee which I'm not going to pay.

9.8 miles so 15 - 20 minutes - unless someone is trying to cash in their chips by jumping off the Erskine Bridge in which case probably hours
