How do you use your club?

Today, I played with my son who lives away at university. We had a drink and some food before I handed over the food parcels to keep him going until we meet again. I may never see him if I didn't provide the food!!
We also managed to win 5 and 4, so it was a very good day

Throughout the summer i play in the 2 comps sunday/tuesday have a pint and a scran on the tuesday night because i go straight from work, sunday usually a bit of practice on the green and range then play in the comp and a couple of pints and a feed afterwards watching the football.

Then i usually have a couple of 6-9 hole practice knocks on my own throughout the rest of the week or take a couple of mates for a knock.

Usually play with my brother and the after game coffes are the bet.
As a family we use the bar for lunch on occassions. Use the main restaurant a few times a year.

I try to play on one of the inter club teams as well and try to be an active member of the club.

I believe its important to support the club in any way possible, especially in the current climate.

If you haven't used up all your allocated rounds, can you flog the unused balance on ?

Not possible I'm afraid. They are strictly non transferable. I've got 12 more games to fit in before the end of March. Can't see that happening to be honest, so I'll lose them as you can't carry them over to the following season.
I was going to get the Missus to join as a social member which might have encouraged her to come up the club with me during the Summer evenings for a drink/meal, she could meet me in the bar afterwards. It wasn't the £30.00 joining fee I objected to, no problem with that. But they also insisted that I had to stick £70.00 on a smart card for her too. She never goes to the bar when we go out to the pub or for a meal so there was no chance she was going to do that at the clubhouse. Just found it a bit offputting to be honest.
I like a drink after a game, will generally stop for a pint or two. But as I say, I prefer playing with my regular friends so I guess the club scene is not really for me.

Play 18 on a Saturday with the fellas and usually spent the rest of the day/night in the club drinking. HID is happy to come up after I finish as she is a playing member anyway.

I like to use the club as a social meeting place as much as possible. My wife also plays and has an excellent social life with all the lady members.
If I'm paying a lot of money for the subs, it makes sense to get as much fun out of the club as possible!
