How do you keep score

Yesterday, won the longest drive as well as the closest to flag!!! (the crowd roars.... tnx)

Anyways, got a Master's society packet which has tees, ball marker, pen etc. It also has a strange contraption called the 'Bead Stroke Counter'. Never seen anything like that before. How do you count your stroke during the round?

In my head, or on a card if it's a medal. Can't understand people who buy the sort of crap you describe.

Normally ask my playing partner, especially this time of year as it's to cold to take both gloves off to count the strokes taken....

Hit it, count them and write it down. Never understood the need for this type of gimmick. Actually that isn't true, I try not to keep too much tally of my own score (thats what my playing partner is suppose to do) so I don't get too focussed or worried about my performance

Bead counter would be no good for me as it looks like it only goes up to 8.

I do worry about the future though, who is the saddest. The folk who make them or the folk who buy them.

I use the "golfshot" app on my phone during social games, very handy as it tracks your strokes, putting, greens and fairway stats. I use a card for comps of course.

nope, you playing partner writes down the score for each hole, doesn't have to do anything else.

Your score is your own responsibility though !

Count the shots taken, add in my penalties, tell everyone, then ask if thats right, go through all the shots in my head, add the extra shots remembered, ask everyone, take off the shots I have remembered incorrectly. Ask someone.
