.. without going to a custom fit center?

Any gizmos out there that can do this fairly accurately or should I just get off my backside and get it measured properly by a pro?

Cheers,
Jim.

Plenty of pros have equipment that will measure clubhead speed, and you can get little devices about the size of a paperback book which will do it too. Can't attest to their accuracy, and you might not get launch angle or spin rates on some of them.

How far do you carry the ball with a driver? or a 6 iron?

Murph, yeah and no.... I'm not in the market for anything really (except maybe a hybrid) which is one of the reasons I don't want to meither the pro.

But... my swing has changed a lot (for the better) since i last got custom fit 3 years ago. Much better transition, loads of lag and i'm hitting every club further.
So with all the talk about shafts and swing speed these days I'm keen to make sure I have the optimium shafts in my clubs.

I'm also just curious as i've never known what it is :D I like putting figures to things.
