How can 40 putts deserve 41 points?

I do feel bad though as (wait for it) I think I should be back down where I started at the beginning of 2006.

Its actually worse than I thought, 41 points with 42 putts (8 three putts, not 6 though two of the three putts were from long range just on the edges of the greens.
I am just back from prizegiving (and a few pints of the black stuff), won best front nine on a count back!! The last stat I can remember from SS2 was that I averages 33 putts per round so I am marking this down to the sanded greens. 45 points won top prize going down to 41 for the places which I was beaten out of due to a poor back nine.

Phil, every putt was missing by really laughable distances, normally I would have holed a couple of them. Once we are off the very back sticks again, I'll worry more if it continues.

So you hit 17/18 greens in regulation and also drove the green on a par 4 and hit both par 5's in 2...

Ok so heres what you do:

Quit your job, buy a belly putter, practice with it every day for a week, actually make it ten days... Then hire me as your caddy, I'll book us some one way flights to Florida and we can go straight to Q school.

Haha, would love to (dreaming!), FIR wasn't so good this Saturday but the putts are starting to drop again.

Funny you mention it though, we have at least three guys looking to go pro this year, will be interesting to see how they go.

28 putts and a decent 77 blows, 39 points today in the first h/c qualifier with a lovely 7 at the first (lost ball off tee)
Nice little start to the year, back down to 8 again.
Irons wern't too bad today, not just as hot as the last few outings though.

Came second (won division) in a club comp and got a cut.

On the tee at 18 I'd worked out that if CSS didn't change I'd be single figures if I birdied it, so I fired straight at the pin in the back right just over a bunker and made double.

Found out later that I lost by 1 shot.
