Hose pipe ban ?

How on earth is Little England going to cope with all those Olympians.

You know how Condems insist on the rail high speed link stopping at Brum.
Well here is an idea.
Extend it through the West rail line to Glasgow and build alongside it a big waterpipe linking the drought stricken S E Of England to theTrossarchs and Lake District.
Simples.

Lack of long term investment and a consolidated upgrade and the infrastructure to blame. Utilities putting profit before performance - AGAIN

Alas, not true. Thames Water wanted to build a desalination plant in North Kent. Mr Ken Livingstone said no as he needed every penny to pay for - yes, you guessed it - the Olympics.

KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF OUR WATER !!!!!!!!!! NORTH WEST WATER FOR NORTH WEST PEOPLES PARTY. you have your billions of pounds games we will have nice lush golf courses and a cooling glass of aqua.

They spent, enough time and money filling in reservoirs in the past. Queen Mother reservoir for one. Then they moan no water.

Queen Mother reservoir is still in use as a reservoir... Home to a popular sailing club also... Not too far from where the olympic rowing events are to be held...

Several of the concrete bowl type reservoirs to the west of London did have problems with leakage due to cracks developing in the concrete but I believe these 'problems' were resolved...

several of my gripes have been said already but here goes
the greed of the tories that sold our water companies off too there mates in the city is the major problem ,as now all the companies are worried about is profit. imagine if it was electricity we were talking about!!!!!!!!
there should be a nationally connected net work off pipes, connecting every reservoir in the kingdom, and if that is not enough build desalination plants like other countries have too
short term vision for quick buck profits, typical conservatism
i will not be taking any notice of the ban, not until they sort there end of the deal out

Papyt

Declare independence and sell it to the Estuary natives.
That's what Scotland are going to do.
Highland Spring are well geared up with huge stores of bottled water ready for the emergency.
Have they started panic buying in Surrey and Essex yet.

That sound a great idea, spend billions on pipe work, so the Southern ballet dancing woofters can take our water. They’ve starved us of investment so they can pay for their Olympics, now they want our water as well, and yes you’ve guessed it; we can also pay more water rates to finance them taking it from us

What a good idea!
