I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on what clubs to buy. I'm just getting into the game, and I have a Qi10 max driver, a Wilson D9 3wood, and Taylormade Stealth irons from 5-pw aw sw. I was wondering what I should invest in next to better my game. I'm about a 20 handicap and have pretty good ball striking (I have had a few lessons and was told this and I see it prettty good through my rapid improvement starting only 2 months ago)

How do you hit your long irons? Do you have much of a distance gap between your 5 & 6 iron?

Might be worth looking at the odd hybrid, they can make that part of the game easier.

Seems like there may be a gap between your 3 wood and 5 iron. There are plenty of options - 5 wood, 7 wood, hybrid. You'd have to try a few out and which one is best for you. Considering which one you find easy to hit, and goes the correct distance to sit nicely between the other clubs.

I would keep going with what you've got for now and avoid the temptation to think that the clubs are limiting your progress. We've all been there and most I know, including myself, have regretted unnecessary early tinkering.
Once you're consistently shooting sub-90 rounds, any gaps in your game that can be improved with a new club should become obvious.
*I am not an expert.

I would say that a hybrid is a good option. Most players struggle with the long irons, and a hybrid is so much easier to use. Don't go mad though. I picked up my hybrid second hand (looked unused to me) for £65. Nice club too.

By the time the OP comes back to respond to the intiial question, manufacturers would have released several generations 😁

Went on a forum
Asking for club advice
For a hybrid or 5-wood
Or something as good
As a 1-iron would be very nice.

Gap season at a range with tracers to get your distance and then ask your pro what he would stick in the gap based on what he knows about your golf.

The gap is clearly between the 3w and 5i, but a recommendation based on “ my pro said “ seems a bit of a shot in the dark. It would depend if your a sweeper or compressor when it comes to ball striking and your pro should be able to give you a few options to try, IE 5w, 3h, 4 or 3 iron hybrid thingy.
