well folks? whats your ultimate goal for this season? do you just want to improve consistency? is it upstairs you want to improve, or do you have a specific number in mind?
Me personally? well success for me would be to get down to 7(currently 8.9), i leave it with you, look forward to some interesting answers! :D

8.something is the target. Currently 9.4, so a bit of consolidation on single figures would be nice.

Other than that, to have fun, and not give Smiffy any money.

Well for me its to enjoy the game as this will be my first year as a member of a club and playing regular instead maybe once a month if lucky.

I'm setting my aim a bit high to push myself which is to be single figure H/C by end of year. Off round about mid teens the now but with some lessons from pro which never had before am sure can help push me towards this goal. Most of all I want to get my money worth at the club and be out at least twice a week minimum and enjoy the medals and comps that are held and be involved.

Get rid of injuries and play the percentage shots more. Gotta lose a mildly destructive block shot which crept in occassionally last year.
Any handicap improvement is acceptable but I'd love to get to 2 hcap, 3 is perhaps more realistic though.

In terms of numbers the goal is down from 28 (newbie) to 18. In terms of golf more generally I'd love to drastically improve from 100 yards to the green. I'm getting much better at my putting each time I play, just need to get myself on the dance floor sooner.

I want to play a lot more golf than I have done for the last two seasons and in doing so get my handicap down to 5. Also I have set myself a target of playing at least 10 new golf courses.

As it's hopes and dreams, and not targets (don't like setting targets) I hope to be playing of 12 by the end of the season. Currently off 15.5 I had a good finish last year shooting my best score, gross 80, but with 2 months out due to the weather and injury, I have a lot of catching up to do.

I played last Saturday, which was the first time I've swung a club for 2 months. Played ok'ish for the front nine, but then ran out of steam quite quickly on the back nine.

but then ran out of steam quite quickly on the back nine.

I don't believe that for a second. I think it was just your clubs got tired :D

I dream of selling lots of V-Easys, going somewhere warm with teegirl and playing alot more golf than I have done in the last 2 years. :)

I hope to get down to single figures, I dream of playing my best golf more regularly, not just the odd round or the occasional sign of brilliance amidst an otherwise useless display of golf.
Realistically though if I keep improving slowly but surely as I feel I am currently doing, i'll be happy.

I've just got my handicap - 10 and I'd like to be single figures by the end of the year.
If I play like I know I can then low (<5) is achieveable. My driving and iron play are good but my short game is rubbish. I had a lesson yesterday on chipping and putting and this has given me great confidence ahead of the season.
I can now play the low chip with check (which needs to be practiced and refined) and my putting stroke is better (once again, practice required) but these two improvements will help my game.
Also, my right hand is too tight which leads to the snap hooks I sometimes get. This has been weakened (another practice required) but I'm heading in the right direction.
I'm going to enter as many comps as I can.

I'll probably play like a right zoom!!!! :D

Improve from 150 yards and closer. My long game is taking care of itself at the moment but I need to be confident and consistant from that distance. I was universally terrible from ~70 yards on Saturday and that probably cost me 10 strokes easily.

I hope to have lowered my handicap to 3.4 or lower. I'm going to play a lot of opens this year and hope to perform well in those (not go up over the 2 rounds). I've got my eye on the club champs and hope to go one better than last year (lost on countback both gross and nett).

To meet lots of new people and enjoy their compnay whilst playing some good golf. This I would consider a good years golf

My ultimate goal this year is to qualify for are pro am.It can be done by winning one of the weekly comps, usually stableford.I will also be a single figure golfer, currently 11 but started the year 12.3.My hopes and dreams[and i dream golf every night[drives me mad]is to become a much better putter.

Hoping to get down to mid teens this year, dreaming of eliminating the odd mini-disaster that still crop up in almost every round.

Had 6 pars and 2 birdies in the medal on Saturday, but also 2 sevens and an eight!

To play more than I have over the last 18 months or so. Because of injury, work and the the Great British weather, I'm not getting out as much as I'd like. Then hopefully I can get the handicap down from 12.1 to 10.4.

Not 9.4?
