Home Launch Monitors

Not saying you haven't already considered these kind of things or that you don't maybe have the space and facilities already, but I can't help thinking that it might be quite costly to make a business out of it. As soon as you have others paying money for a facility on your premises, you've got to start thinking about liability insurance, parking, running a business from home etc. etc.

I have an ES12. Great piece of kit for the money and I use it a lot. Sets up in seconds are is very accurate. No shot shape info though, but for distances it is excellent. I also have a Vector Pro which gives a lot more information, but takes some setting up which is why I don't use it too often. In addition I have an Optishot which has good graphics but is not as accurate.
As you can see, all of the above have pro's and con's and that is because to date there is nothing on the market that provides everything at anything like a reasonable price. I was really interested in Sky Trak but as with everything from that company, it's late to market and still no date for availability in the UK, so tbh I have gone off the idea.

have at look at Optishot is a much much cheaper version of GC2 and Foresight, using a base mat to rows of lights detect club head and face angle, using the data received it shows a very detailed breakdown of what your dong, added to the fact its a simulator you fun workable solution

sensor mat is around £400, you can build a cheap net and surround setup for around £50,

projector and impact screen are recommended but not essential

I see on Amazon the Optishot is £423- is this the cheapest you will get it anywhere- also if you were to use say foam balls are the readings still gonna be accurate- just thinking this may be of use in my flat but would need foam balls initially and just view shots on laptop rather than impact screen and projector at the moment

foam balls work fine the machine is reading the club you can actually swing without a ball, there is a setting to choose real ball, foam ball or no ball.

i got mine from golf tech its £399 from them and good support if needed

Well I got the ES14 recently and I'm very happy with it, not only I get the normal data it supplies I got the club fitting app to compare shafts and manufacturers if I want to. Then I heard that in April they are releasing the ES15 which peeved me a little and here it is.

I thought oh swollocks why didn't I wait a little longer, then I saw the next photo...

I can't seem to find any details on the ES15. Do you know the specs ?

Just looked again at the last pick. That looks sooo photo shopped. That can't be real? Which might explain what I can find anything on the web about it.

Or next step up TruGolf technique personal or Protee. Both sensor mat based with slightly different approaches for launch and spin data. Good deals can be had if you time your purchase just right.
I am in the same boat looking to move house and install a full sim setup. Currently leaning towards the Protee because of the free Golf Club game integration. Looked at the Skytrak also but to me it seems to have too many issues, have you seen the delay in displaying the ball data? That would drive me up the wall waiting 20 seconds or so to see my shot.

Looks to be around 2 seconds lag on this video. I have looked at a lot of information regarding the SkyTrak and it doesn't seem to have any more issues than any other monitors - even much more expensive ones.

Yeah good spot looks like they have updated the firmware, 2 seconds I could live with. Having said that this guys 2 seconds seems a bit out (1 min in) :)

I must admit, I'd not be happy with that kind of lag!!! Hopefully it has been addressed or at least will have been by the time I buy one. (Looking at a house move at the moment, with room for an indoor set-up being high on my list of priorities - although the wife doesn't know that!!!!)

I actually don't think I'd mind that lag. Ok was a bit before final distance and stats were there but about 10 secs before it showed you the ball tracking which Id be fine with
