Holidays 2021

Our trip of a lifetime to the Galapagos was booked in 2019 and was supposed to be in June this year.
It's been rescheduled for June 2021. Will it happen? Who knows?

We also have a skiing trip to Austria booked for end of Jan 2021.
Chances are it will have to be cancelled, and I'd really like Crystal to get off their backsides and do so sooner rather than later.

? Galapagos, now that would get me juices flowing. Who was you booking that with Clive me man.

The family holiday to Turkey from this year we have rolled to next, and will do the same again if we can't go next year. Feb/March 2021 skiing holiday we decided to push back to 2022.

Thanks for the link.

We were due to be going to Obergurgl. It would have been our first visit there.

Had a great apres ski session in the Nederhutte several years back when we were staying in Solden just down the road.

Skiied all day, got a table about 3-30 for a late lunch and by 4-30 it was carnage when the house band came on till we had to ski down under floodlights to get a taxi back to Solden.

One of the premier apres bars in the alps, unfortunately not much apres ski will be happening this year.

Just been band from skiing until they see if they can sort out a stent

Hope you get it sorted out.

We were planning on going to Alpendorf in the Salzburger Sportwelt region where we were due to go in March last year but was cancelled 2 days before departure. It is looking very unlikely to happen now.

Will try again next year as the Hotel was excellent in sorting out refund etc, so we are going to make sure we give them our custom next time we ski.

Never been skiing in my life. If I go overseas in the winter, I want sun, heat and golf! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Been on many ski holidays in March/April when its been hotter and sunnier than Cumbria gets in the summer......

I remember over 20 years ago trying to convince my wife, who hates the cold, to go skiing. I’d been on several ski holidays before we met, and tried to convince her that, when you’re properly dressed and there’s not a cloud in the sky, you don’t feel the cold. I even told her there had been times I had been on the slopes in a t-shirt, which I had. Eventually she agreed so off we went.

You can just imagine my dismay, and her anger, when we arrived on the slopes on the first morning, to see the temperature at a snot freezing -27 degrees centigrade. Our marriage survived, but only just.

Not the weather for having lunch outside....:ROFLMAO:

We're booked with Llama Travel. They were very good about the cancellation. We had already paid the full balance, and they gave us the option of a refund or rebooking for next year, refunding all the (eye-watering amount of) money, retaining only the deposit.

Hate apres-ski. Brings out the worst behaviour in people.
(Being too old to cope with it might also have some bearing - after a day on the slopes all I want to do is take a nap).

That just sounds so wrong!

Ave had a quick look, missis T apparently said she/ we had looked at Galapagos before. But we both think at the moment hols are deffo on the back burner. Ave a week in Normandy next April which is a roll over from sept cancellation. Odd as it seems am not that bothered about looking for hols. More importantly short term we need a new washing machine ?
