Heating kicked in earlier but couldn't connect to the hub.
Have tried to reset it, can't log into my account and the online chat has had no agents for the last 3 hours.
Anyone know what error 500 is ?

Time to get Nest I think .

I wouldn't move to nest just for a server issue

Have u tried going to thermo stat and manually overriding it?

I can't get on my app but Alexa I'm still able to turn on and off my hive lights

Can't log into account and the hub is redlighting.
Had the hub and stat since 2014 so not sure if they are in need of replacement

I can't get into mine either. It's a server issue not a hub issue

Hive is owned By British Gas. You’ll need to ring the helpline and they’ll sort it.

I think with the error 500 it's not something they can fix over the phone I believe it's a wait for the servers to be fixed and then your hub will come back online

Mine has been working fine all day.

Try disconnecting the hub (ie switch off), leave it for a few minutes, switch on, watch the flashing light and it should be ok a few minutes later

Do people here have it set to a comfortable temp all day or do you Overboost it in a morning in regards to energy saving and penny pinching?
I only ask as there’s someone home all day now and it’ll take its toll on my energy bill.

Normally when winter draws in set to 19 all day apart from 1 hour in morning and 1 hour in evening which is set to 22 to boost it higher

Oh and 17 at night. Hate being warm in bed

I use the schedule to set temps at various times of the day based on our usual activities at that time of day and day of the week and give an occasional nudge if needed.

I’ll experiment with a reasonable setting then for the day. Usually only had it set for a hour and a half in a morning and three hours at night in the week.

We were told by an engineer to have a constant temperature all day as it works out cheaper as the boiler works less hard to maintain the temperature than try and heat a cold building from scratch each day
