hitting the flag

As an add on.

I had the flag attended for a long putt.
As the ball is sailing towards the hole my marker/player is frantically trying to get the stuck flagstick out of the hole.
The ball just missed the hole.
Red paced player finally pulls the flagstick out with the cup attatched.

Always check the flagstick is loose if you are asked to attend.

One thing that always works. If the you want the flag tended then instead ask for it to be removed. If you need to see the hole ask them to show you with the shaft of their putter. This will give you the target but no risk of hitting a flag or it getting stuck.
