No, golfers generally score better if they have shorter approach shots. Per the guy who does strokes gained calcs.

Although on a par 3 course, he’ll probably find hitting anything more than an iron will go through the green.

The driver goes miles but can be a touch unpredictable so I only use it when I have a bit of freedom

Yes, I only played 5 full rounds last year and I scored 87, 82, 83, 86 and 85.

These were all off the yellows between the end of June and early September which does skew them a little as the conditions were at their best.

I use irons off the tee 95% of the time and I never ever use a tee peg.

A golf vid I watched said to ALWAYS use a tee on the teeing ground as there was a reason you are not allowed to use one on the course...because it makes it easier. Just passing on the info. It might help.

Nope. Hate hitting irons with a tee peg. Feel like they come off far too high up the face.
