Absolutely!

Most of my tee shots are irons or hybrids because of my gameplan. It’s essential in fairway finding and distance control.

No, golfers generally score better if they have shorter approach shots. Per the guy who does strokes gained calcs.

Although on a par 3 course, he’ll probably find hitting anything more than an iron will go through the green.

I use irons off the tee 95% of the time and I never ever use a tee peg.

A golf vid I watched said to ALWAYS use a tee on the teeing ground as there was a reason you are not allowed to use one on the course...because it makes it easier. Just passing on the info. It might help.

Nope. Hate hitting irons with a tee peg. Feel like they come off far too high up the face.
