Hit the flag!! and a "did i just do that moment"!

60 yards out with my new wedge, hit the flag, and dropped about 2ft from the hole!! first time i ever done it, hopefully not the last time

and my "did i just do that moment",

I took a 8 iron first shock was that it was a gentle draw to the left front, of the green, second shock was that it bounced once and checked fast, no roll out like i have usually, rather it did roll out as flag was upper right of the green, about 30ft away, i putted to 18" and made par!

only downer on todays few holes where that i couldnt hit my hybrid with out it hooking like a mad man

you guys remember your first's for things like this?

I hit a 7i out of the rough yesterday from about 140 to 5 feet and putted for par. One of the best shots I played.

My first that i remeber was on our 8th par 3 165 yards to the centre, hit a nice soft draw, problem was i didnt want it and it ended in the bunker 25 feet from the pin and about 6 feet below the green

Im not the best bunker player but i sized it up went to a 60 degree wedge and it popped it up.

I knew it was good and raced out just in time to see it go in the hole after landing softly and releasing to the hole.

I have had a few more since then but none were sweeter

First time i spun a ball, 60 yards from the centre of the green elevated shot, landed to within inches of the cup and thought great shot, put my club back in my bag and my playing partner was nearly wetting himself, he had seen it check and then spin back about 3 feet and hit the downslope and run another 15 or twenty feet off the green and left me a tricky up and down, went from a tap in birdie to a bogey

actually ive been thinking the one bounce and check was the 3rd shock, infact the 2nd was the fact i hit the green lol!!

Do you mean you hit the flag, or the flagstick? I have hit the flag on many occasions and I find that it always kills the flight and the ball drops fairly close to the hole. Hitting the flag is a luckier shot than hitting the stick in my opinion, because clearly the ball was on its way through the green.

yes sorry i hit the flag stick, not the flag at about 3ft from the ground
