Hillsbrough - Sick to the back teeth

Heysel is remembered by Liverpool FC

There is a plaque at Anfield to remember the 39 people that died

A service was held on the 25th Anniversary and a 2 mins silence also

I really do not want to get caught up in an argument regarding this, but Hillsbrough was different. We know what happened at Bradford and Heysel, but what happened at Hillsbrough has always been covered up. It is the lies and the cover up that keeps it alive, the families and friends of the people that suffered there just want the truth and the people responsible to be held responsible for it.

I'm not really sure you can play disaster top trumps. The post is about hillsborough, it stands alone because of establishment involvement and cover up against its own population. That for me is why there is a world of difference, and it can't be forgotten until the truth is known.

It's not a contest to see which tragedy gets more coverage or recognition

Bradford is remembered every year

Heysel is remembered every year by Juventus and Italian Clubs

The families have kept Hillsborough in the public eye - Liverpool FC recongnise it every year and hold a service for it.

It's been given extra focus this year due to the 25 Anniversary.

I haven't said its a competition, I have just said they should be treated equally. As someone who doesn't remember it happening, I can only say that it still has a lot more coverage than any other tragedy. I fully support the quest for justice. I was simply suggesting that it does get more coverage than others and I don't particularly think that that is right. Bradfor may be remembered every year by their fans, but that haven't had fixtures rearranged in their memory (I am not saying it was wrong to do so).

I know this post may upset some people, but I am absolutely sick to the back teeth of of all this Hillsbrough crap.
Matches kicking off today at 3.07. Then 96 seats left vacant at wembley, for heavens sake just let it lie.
Whilst I sympathise with those who lost relatives in this tragic event I am just so so sick of keep hearing Hillsbrough, Hillsbrough.
There wasn't this much or any fuss made over the Bradford fire disaster.
Personally i think you cant count yourself lucky you feel this way ..

Why?

It means you are lucky enough to have not been affected by it , not your friends or relatives that cheerily went on their way to see & support their team & never came home alive...
Accidents and deaths happen , its a fact of life , but if an accident happen and you blame those that died for their own deaths , when those who survived the dead knew it was a lie , for the police force who are suppose to protect and mind the the people cause or contribute to the the problem them blame the dead you even wonder why they are fighting on and want to keep it in the public eye ? Really you need to ask ?

Why do football still remember it as they do ?, because it could have happend to any club at any time , do you mean to tell me if one of the 96 was one of your family you wouldnt be doing the same , shame on you if you werent ..

I look at most posts , comment on a few and ignore a few , i tried to ignore this just couldnt, your "crap" comment is disrespectful and wrong and i think you should retract it ,

I know if it was one of my family involved id fight til justice was served or til the day i die & i would go to my grave with people remembering that those who died were the innocent

Not going to comment anymore

Respect & Justice for the 96 innocent

Liverpool request that fixtures get changed because it allows the players and fans to support the families during the memorial service

It gets more coverage because of reasons explained by a number of people now.

I think Bladeplayers post sums up the situation nicely and it seems appropriate to close the thread there
It is a highly charged emotional subject and could easily go badly wrong overnight

I hope the current proceedings give everyone the answers they seek
