Interesting one this weekend, and just wondered if anyone else had ever had this happen, or what your thoughts are:
We were playing as a 3 ball, the 2 groups infront packed it in after 9 holes, so we had a couple of holes free before getting sight of the next group (a 2 ball).
We were teeing off straight away as no one was in range, or at first even on the same hole (and mostly out of sight by the time we reached the tee box).
But come the 14th, 2 of us had tee'd off (with irons to lay up short of the ditch at 220), when 2 people appeared at the side of the semi-rough. They were the group in front, who'd been looking for balls in the trees.
We hadn't seen them in the trees, they must have been in there for a good 5 minutes if not more (based on how we'd caught up with them), and no sign was left in view that they were on that hole.
Now, I was taught that you leave a bag/trolley in sight if you are all in the deep stuff. But obviously we shouldn't have played if they were still on that hole - to say they weren't happy is an understatement!
Any thought?
