Hi all,
Right so, I’ve been lurking around here for a while but am now just doing the intro bit. From Dublin now living in Belfast, played fairly regular for a few years with my dad (who’s been a golf nut for 20 some years) and mates up until about 12 years when life got a little busy (jobs, wife, kids, other hobbies).
Anyway I bought a set of clubs on holiday about a year ago in Sports Direct, Dunlops (yeah yea I know) as I thought it was bargain of the century, never to be repeated bargain. Only starting to use them recently and really enjoying it.
Have to say I seem to understand the mechanics of golf more so now than 12-14 years ago when my handicap was 18. Maybe this is down to the “rate my swing” clips on YouTube – great tool for analysis and learning.
Up to this point I’ve only played pitch n put and par 3 courses and 1 proper round of golf when I went around in 104.
Anyway, the Dunlop’s – they’re great for getting me started, once I break 92 I’ll get a “proper” set. Been GASing after Cobra S2 and Nike Victory Red irons.
Anyway, hi all.

Hi there Brian get stuck in there are quite a few from Ireland now!

p.s. don't worry about the dunlops my mate uses a set and he can play to about ten!

I have looked at the S2 offset as I tend to slice with a driver. I’d prefer to sort the swing before buying an offset driver. I got a few pointers on my swing at the weekend so I’ll work on that first. But if I’m still slicing when I go to buy an S2 I’ll definitely consider the S2 offset.

BTW: I’d love to hear how to get on with the new driver.
