Hi everyone. I have a voucher for a four ball for Prestbury Golf Club. They have very kindly donated this to help with us trying to raise the required £69k for Mike to have this operation. I suggested that we could use it to have as an auction, rather than just put it in with the rest of the raffle prizes. It was agreed last night by the ladies co ordinating it all that this would be a good idea. So here it is. Please please could you get your bids in as quick as possible as we can't let this run for long. I will be posting this up in other places but will update on here if any bids are received elsewhere. I'm sure I don't need to tell you just how good Prestbury is and their rates for general play. Just post up on this thread your bids. And good luck. Many many thanks in advance.

What you get. apart from the golf on an awesome top 100 course is a friendly greeting from all the staff, and your name on a printed sheet displayed on a board at the entrance to the clubhouse. ( I know this because I was very lucky to have this earlier this year).

Update. We are currently up to about £23K. (you can find this on the Just Giving Site). We have a raffle going and a prize Bingo ( I'm the caller) that will be on next Tuesday! I would love to be able to say that I've managed to get a good bid on this.

I have had a chat with the lady who got this voucher and to whom I suggested putting this on here, and she said that she would like this to be ended by 5pm on Tuesday. If no bids are in I've told her I'll buy it so it at least gets a reasonable amount. It was just going to be a raffle prize but I thought it could make more by auction. Maybe I was wrong.

I dont want to get in the way or start a debate that gets in the way , but I have been considering making a bid. What has stopped me is that coming up from the South East, to only be able to make a booking within 2 50 min slots during 2 afternoons doesn't give enough flexibility.

What is a reasonable amount?
I don't play winter league golf, but I could email some of my mates to see if they were interested.
It isn't that close to us, but not a long way from us either.

It's not the tickets, it's the 5pm Tuesday deadline to bid by. As I wasn't playing today I would have to email to see if anyone was interested.

I put the deadline on to try and get everyone up to bid. I can extend this as we now have the ball rolling. Many thanks for the first bid. I think if you wanted to play in one of their opens you would have to pay £75, if that helps to gauge what to bid. Prestbury is a top 100 course and used to be an open qualifier course.

Yes I know. This seems to be the window they allow for something that they are giving away for free. I can't really blame them.
