Played today in extremely windy conditions and found myself hitting a few of the usual fat shots.
I know why i'm doing it, my brain kicks into 'Head on wind, better try and smash the fook out of it' mode and I end up dropping my left shoulder on the down swing and coming down far too steep and making contact before the ball.
So I know what im doing but how can I stop myself ??
Does anyone have any hints/tips/drills to eradicate this and keep swinging smooth or is it just a case of me singing 'Easy' by the Commodores in my head every time I play ??

Hi Barney,
If you lose your rhythm make a couple of practice swings with your feet together focusing on balance. Then make a couple in your normal address position trying to keep this same feeling but concentrating on the swoooosh of the clubhead. It should show you you only need to swing in balance and smoothly to generate clubhead speed.

Also make sure you're not gripping the club too tight as tension will kill speed.
