Are you hitting then heavy or just taking large divots. One is your problem, the other the greenkeepers!

If heavy, consider putting ball further back, or wedges with more bounce.

Basically my game is now looking like that of a pro's :p but i am struggling with my wedges.
I can drive to about 275 yards and therefore on the shorter par 4s i need a wedge to get onto the green. However i seem to just take huge divots and the ball just goes nowhere. Out the bunkers i take just enough sand and they land softly.
All i want is some advice because i really dont want to go up by 0.1 tomorrow :(

Have you considered hitting a different type of shot, perhaps a longer style chip and run if the approach to the green allows it? It is very easy to watch the tv and to want to hit the high wedge into every green. I started to play much better when I varied my approach shots.

You'd be of scratch if you could hit a wedge then ;)
The main thing that I concentrate on when hitting wedges is keeping my head still and minimum body movement during the swing.

hi tried that today when i had green to play with but isn't always my first option

Out of interest what handicap are you playing off these days? I'd suggest playing the wedges with a narrow stance, maybe a fraction open and in the middle of your feet. If you hinge the wrists too much you'll come in on a steeper angle which may be a cause of hitting them with such large divots. Might be worth looking at the swing path on top of the other advice
