ok got my new laptop and want to connect to my tv, easy ? well not for me yet. my tv is a projection type so only got scarts laptop has hdmi. so i reckon im looking at a hdmi to scart lead. found some at 55 squid. anyone know of cheaper or better way to watch my laptop on the tv.
 
i connect my laptop to the tv using 2 seperate cables..

have no issues with quality. Dont expect too much HD action.. I am betting your comp will not be able to provide a HD out. Have been using such a set up for a few years, and despite the fact that I have a HD TV and Virgin HD box, never needed to do a HD out from my laptop.

Great set up for less than 5 quid.
Top tip: ensure that you get cables that can reach from ur lappy 2 ur TV when you keep it in a table or wherever..
