Hi everyone, first post here to be gentle.

I've been playing for just over a year now and am progressing quite well. I had been struggling with my long irons so bought the wilson staff fybrid 19.5º and 21º. I'm really happy with them as they are long and straight and more often than not accurate. One thing i really like about them is the flight path i get from them. Most other clubs i hit pretty high and i've always struggled in the wind due to this. With the proforce V2 that's on the fybrids i seem to have found a shaft that cures this.

Question is, if i can find a driver with the same shaft, will i get the same ball flight, or does the head affect this as well? I've already decided i'm going to get the 3 wood fybrid as well, but would a driver with the same shaft do the job?

I currently use a Powerbilt Slugger driver with an Aldila VS Proto R65 shaft and it goes way too high. Loses distance or balloons in windy conditions.

You need a driver with a high kick point this will produce a lower flight. using the same shaft in a driver the same as your rescues wont produce the same flight as it, the head will effect the swing weight. Go and try as many as you can out before you buy.

It is a head and shaft combo that makes the club. It is almost impossible to predict what flight etc you will get til yout hit it.
Ideally go somewhere where you can hit the club, see the flight, and confirm it on a lauch monitor. Ideally you are looking for a launch between 14 and 17 degrees. Don't just buy mail order, unless you have lots of cash, and don't mind expensive mistakes.

I like the V2 shaft as well, in stiff, tried one at a Mizuno fitting, i believe some Titleist drivers come with this shaft as standard, get to the range to try some out.

the v2 might not work in the driver but like you say they do lower flight and if you fancy trying them most brands have them in nowadays more importantaly its best to get a lauch monitor and get the correct loft shaft combo there thousands of possiblities with the money we spend on clubs the proper service is expected
