Depends on the loft, doesn’t it? On Trackman yesterday my mate was carrying his 6 iron 190 yards with around 128mph ball speeds, 92mph club speed. His irons are Callaway X Forged irons from 2013 and his 6 iron is 30 degree loft. I’d bet if he hit one of those super game improvement 7 irons with 27 degree loft he could carry it 200 yards.

I also carry my 7-iron with a regular shaft about 200 yards. Unfortunately, this is about 20 yards shorter than I used to a few years ago. I am in my seventies now so do you think I need to change to senior shafts ?
I think the OP needs to seek professional help - I know I do.

I am reminded of one of mates who was very occasional golfer with a set of often handed down set of irons.
He bragged about how far he could hit his SW. I then pointed out that what he thought was a SW (he could only see S on the sole) was an 8 iron where the sole was so worn that the 8 now looked like an S.
