It’s pure negligence not to shout fore in this circumstance and I’m sorry to hear about your injury!

I recently berated and scolded a guest that I had invited to my club. He sliced a drive that was 150 yards off target line, heading straight at a four ball on an adjacent fairway (in clear view), he stopped watching it in disgust. I screamed fore, and it honestly missed a group of 4 by 5 or so yards. I think it could have killed one of them had it landed on their head.
My guest never made a sound, no fore call or anything. I scolded him tbh. Honestly, seems to be a younger generation thing (I’m in my 20s too) but it’s like there’s an embarrassment in shouting fore. I’ve heard lots of “I didn’t think it was going anywhere near them” and “I wasn’t sure it was reaching them” as well as half arsed whispers.
