Do you wear an hat?
what sort? beanie, baseball, fedora, trilby.
Why do you wear it? fashion, keep your head warm, keep sun off your head, shade your eyes.

What sort of hat shouldn't be worn?

Personally, I don't like to wear anything on my head, hairline far enough back already.
I have worn wooly to keep head warm in winter and a B/ball, reluctantly to shade my eyes so that i can see the ball.

I wonder how a fez would go down at the GC?

Prefer no hat but if its hot a baseball cap for sunburn avoidance, if its coldish I wear a semi-trendy Kangol wool cap. If its baltic then a Ping pom-pom hat.

I have an electric blue Titleist BB cap with the raised stitched logo and also a Black woolie hat with turn up showing the club logo. I dont tend to wear the B cap now and go commando in the summer, the woolie hat only comes out when the wind is blowing hard and is cold. Covering my ears just helps remove one of the many distractions out there when playing in less clement conditions.

Vig, for what its worth, if its cold you could disguise the cap with a woolie hat on top, Ive seen numerous guys wear both. I used to wear caps most weeks but found I played equally as well without.

I started wearing a beanie hat last winter that i liked. It kept me warm and it's handy keeping the pencil in the folded up part.
I've never liked baseball caps on myself and find the peak in my peripheral vision a distraction playing golf.I also take my sunglasses off to play a shot

I wear a cap for somewhere to keep my Tags when I am putting, or the sun goes in :D

Abd it keeps the sun off.

I dont always wear one, depends how I feel

I have two BB caps from next that I wear and also a lovely 'bill and ben' hat to shade my neck now its real sunny

winter I use a massive TM bobble that is toastie

Woolie hat in the winter if its cold, baseball cap in the summer if the suns out and it is warm as if I don't I resemble a plucked turkey, and for the rain I have a waterproof cap.

'No Fear' Baseball cap that my son bought and insisted I wear for golf.

I can take or leave them unless its a really bright day.

Baseball caps for keeping the sun off your head!? Yes it does, but what about our ears and back of the neck? Caps are not the best things for keeping the sun off you. If that's your reason for wearing one? Perhaps the real (subconcious reason) is some vain hope of retaining one's youth!!

Controversy over with.

Winter, it's a SealSkinz waterproof beanie. Waterproof, breathable and windproof. Awesome.

Summer. Nothing unless the sun is hot. In which case it's one of those Greg Norman wide brimmed jobbies. Great for keeping the sun off the neck and ears.

Raining. Either an Ozzie leather bush hat, or a wide brimmed waterproof hat. Both stop the rain going down my neck. Nothing worse than rain water dribbeling down your neck.

As for visors. Urm! Just no.

Can't pay golf without a Callaway cap on - just can't!!

Except in winter when its bloomin' cold then I get my Thinsulate beanie out....
