With wind and rain becoming more prevalent as we bid farewell to summer, I looked to invest in headwear which didn't have to be chased down the fairway after being launched high by a thieving gust.
As well as something windproof, I also sought to protect my Hoffman-esque locks from the driving rain which characterises the Scottish Autumn.
I opted for a Sealskinz Beanie Hat in black and bought directly from the manufacturer.
First wear today and I was delighted. It kept me dry and the outer layer of the hat gathered the droplets of rain and ran off without creating a sponge effect.
The hat kept the wind out as advertised but had to go back into the bag when the sun came out as it was, naturally, too warm.
This hat comes in a variety of colours and SIZES which is excellent if you have a large brain like me.
RRP £18
