Having no spectators can be good

The singing of the National Anthem at Silverstone today was a very unusual arrangement by the singer.

I reckon with a normal spectator crowd he would have been drowned out by those singing it in the traditional arrangement.

Never understood why people feel the need to mess around with the anthem. I know it isn’t to everyone’s taste but as a mark of respect I believe it should be sung in the ‘proper way’
