You don't need to move from Portrush to play another couple of crackers - I'd recommend staying in Portstewart and play Castlerock and Portstewart Strand and the Valley (Rathmore) at Royal Portrush.

Yes, but we really want to play RCD that is our first choice, there will be some travel but ok with that

Going to Donegal next year so it will be Donegal, Rosses Point, Narin & Portnoo and maybe Enniscrone

Enniscrone is the best of those courses, drop one of the others (Narin?) to make sure you play it

We re going to get the North West Pass which gives us a round on Narin,Donegal and Rosses Point for 149 euro which is a huge saving on the rack rate.We re there for 5 nights but some of the lads want to drive back to Portstewart to meet some of our old mates who are members there but I'm the driver so Enniscrone it will be haha. Bill i love coming over to Ireland and the wife loves going as well so i get to play Portstewart all the time which is spot on

Played Killarney maybe 10/12 years ago.
Looks like I'll be adding a few more next June
RCD and Portrush are must play courses, surely ?

4 trips to ireland. my first ever golfing trip led me to the emerald isle. inclement weather stopped me from playing Rosslare consequently Trallee became my first course and is still the one i love most. i was playing with a elderly canadian who was an oversea member. on hole 7 we ducked into a dune to seek shelter from yet another front of rain. after the halfway tea and after the clouds gave way to the sun we played the back-9 which are still my favourite 9 holes on any course. i fell in love with links golf that day

No, but would love to play some of the courses down the west coast. Particularly down in county Kerry.

Always found Kerry a bit strange. The locals dont strike me as golfing types but they have an abundance of top courses. Sit in the local and you will only hear talk of Kerry in the Gaelic football. No one is talking about taylormade and spin rates.

To be fair I don't think I've heard many people talk about golf in golf clubs here for any length of time other than to say "how did you do?" - certainly never heard anyone talk about spin rates - normal conversations are football, work amongst the blokes, work and families amongst the wifies

Not yet but will be ticking that off my list next year. Still not played a course in Wales either so will have to do something about that.

I only ever met farmers in Kerry who don't have time for golf after tending to their sheep during the day and supping pints at night. The only time they spend 4hours wandering fields in the rain is when they are working.

Was a member of Naas GC in the mid/late 70's. It was a 9 hole course back then. Played a number of courses back then. Was over there for golf a few years back and played a number around the Dublin area.

Flew back yesterday after work visit, interviewing... and our Dublin office is pretty close to Newlands golf club, just outside of Dublin, which I played many years ago. I'll be over a lot next year, and will leave a set in the office.

There's a course at the end of the Dingle peninsula, Ceann Sibeal GC, that i had a look at when over there when on hols 3 years ago. Have wanted to go and play it ever since.

Fortunate enough to play golf in the SW of Ireland and have played the 'big' courses in County Kerry.
Haven't managed Ceann Sibeal yet but my club do an exchange which I've missed when it's been on, maybe next year.
